Review Brazilian invoicing for subscriptions and rental

Check each invoice generated by Enterprise subscriptions or rental and the fiscal treatment of the actual operation. Automatic NFS-e issuing on every subscription cycle and a fiscal bridge for rental have not been validated by KMEE.

Before you start

The Subscriptions and Rental apps are Enterprise. There is no validated Brazilian bridge that issues NFS-e on every subscription cycle, nor a rental module with fiscal shipment and return in the official 16.0 series (there are open pull requests); confirm with KMEE and your accountant what your installation actually does. In Community, recurring contracts of the OCA localization (l10n_br_contract) cover recurring service billing with NFS-e. Have the contract, products, customer, billing dates and fiscal operation reviewed. Service invoicing depends on the issuer and municipality integration actually available; an NF-e module alone does not provide every NFS-e flow.

Step by step

1. Check the contract or rental order

For a subscription, review the recurring plan, next billing date, quantities and payment terms. For rental, review dates, rented quantities, pickup and return. Confirm the customer and fiscal operation supplied to the order and its lines.

2. Review the generated invoice

Generate or locate the invoice for the intended cycle using the app’s billing flow. Compare the billed period, items, amount, fiscal operation and due dates with the contract. Check an already generated invoice before rerunning a recurring billing action.

3. Complete the fiscal and collection flow

Follow the fiscal procedure for the document model configured for this operation. Check authorization or service-invoice response when required and follow the generated installments. For rental, track the physical return independently from the financial settlement.

Expected result

Each billed cycle or rental is linked to its contract, reviewed invoice, applicable fiscal document and collection status.

If something goes wrong

For missing fiscal data, inspect the product, customer, operation and bridge configuration before posting. For duplicate recurring invoices, review cycle dates and existing records. An active subscription or completed rental return does not by itself prove tax-document authorization or payment.
