Prepare, send and check an NF-e¶
Follow the fiscal document from preparation to the authorization response. Use this procedure with the issuer and communication service configured for your company.
Before you start¶
Check the issuing company, CNPJ, address, registrations, approved operation, document model and series. The administrator must configure the certificate and the correct test or production environment. The demo has simulated or disabled services in some companies; generating XML there does not establish SEFAZ authorization.
Step by step¶
1. Review the draft¶
Open the fiscal document from the invoice or Fiscal > Documents > NF-e. Compare the recipient, delivery address, operation, items, quantities, NCM, CFOP, taxes, freight and totals with the business transaction. Correct the originating record when it supplies an incorrect value.
2. Confirm and send¶
Choose Confirmar after reviewing the draft. Resolve validation messages. When the document is ready and the environment is correct, choose Enviar. Depending on company configuration, sending and consultation may occur together or in separate steps.
3. Check the response and files¶
If processing remains pending, use Consultar Recibo when available and inspect the EDI tab. Check the electronic status, response description, authorization protocol and date. Open Visualizar XML and Visualizar PDF; retain the authorized XML and the associated DANFE.
Expected result¶
An authorized document has an authorization response and protocol consistent with its access key. The XML, DANFE, invoice and shipment refer to the same transaction.
If something goes wrong¶
For a rejection, record the response code and description and correct the indicated field. For a timeout, consult the existing document before issuing another one. A PDF, XML file or accounting posting alone is not authorization. Escalate certificate, numbering or service errors with the document key and response, without sharing the certificate password.
