Create an invoice from delivered goods¶
Use the installed stock invoicing flow when the company issues invoices from transfers, preserving the link to deliveries and sales conditions.
Before you start¶
Confirm the company setting Sale Invoicing Policy and the invoicing configuration of the transfer type. Goods must have the required stock status and the user must have invoicing access.
Step by step¶
1. Identify what is ready to invoice¶
Open the delivery and inspect delivered quantities, customer and invoice status. For To be invoiced transfers, choose Create Invoice. From the transfer list, select compatible transfers to use grouped invoicing and check the assistant grouping before proceeding.
2. Review the draft and its source¶
Open the invoice from the transfer Invoicing tab. Compare invoice quantities with the deliveries, and prices, payment terms, down payments and customer reference with the sales order. Review fiscal operation and tax results before posting.
3. Handle service lines and corrections¶
With Stock Picking policy, service lines continue to be invoiced from the sales order; mixed orders may therefore produce separate goods and service invoices. Reconcile both sources before closing the order. Handle returns through the linked return and credit-note process, then recheck the remaining invoiceable quantity.
Expected result¶
The invoice identifies the delivered goods and preserves the sales and payment conditions.
If something goes wrong¶
Cancelling or deleting an ordinary invoice can make its transfer invoiceable again. Inspect existing invoices and credit notes before creating a replacement. If quantities or fiscal fields differ, resolve the source and integration rules before posting.
