Prepare supplier payment and customer debit orders¶
Group reviewed open installments by payment mode and follow the generated bank file through reconciliation.
Before you start¶
Payment modes, bank accounts, journals and the required bank-file format must be configured. A configured payment mode does not imply that every bank or payment service is supported.
Step by step¶
1. Select the open installments¶
Open Vendors > Payment Orders or Customers > Debit Orders. Create an order for the company and payment mode and use Create Payment Lines from Journal Items. Alternatively, use Add to Payment/Debit Order on a posted invoice. Review due date, residual amount and existing payment-order links.
2. Confirm the reviewed batch¶
Review beneficiary, account, amount, payment date, reference and total for every line. Choose Confirm Payments only after this review. Inspect the resulting accounting items and transfer journal where configured.
3. Generate and track the bank file¶
Choose Generate Payment File for the installed format and save the file with its order reference. Submit it through the company bank procedure and retain the bank protocol. Mark File Successfully Uploaded only after actual upload; then inspect bank acceptance, rejections and settlement using the supported return/import flow.
Expected result¶
Every selected installment has a traceable payment order, bank response and reconciliation outcome.
If something goes wrong¶
An uploaded file is not proof of payment. Before retrying a rejected or timed-out batch, check the bank protocol and existing orders. Do not create another payment to resolve a residual without checking reconciliation and partial settlement.
