Consult accounting reports, balance sheet and income statement¶
Reconcile accounting detail with management reports using the same company, dates and entry status.
Before you start¶
Have reporting access and the period to analyze. Brazilian MIS templates use account mappings or prefixes that must match the company chart of accounts.
Step by step¶
1. Open the accounting detail¶
Under Invoicing/Accounting > Reporting > OCA accounting reports, choose General Ledger, Trial Balance, Open Items, Aged Partner Balance or Journal Ledger. Set company, dates, accounts/partners and posted/all-entry criteria. Preview before exporting PDF or XLSX.
2. Create the MIS report instance¶
Open Reporting > MIS/SIG Reports and create a report. Select the Brazilian DRE or BP template matching the chart of accounts, or an approved generic template. Set the base date and period; use comparison columns for distinct periods. Review account expansion and layout.
3. Explain a total before distributing it¶
Choose Preview and click a detailed amount to open its underlying accounting entries. Compare with the OCA report using identical filters. Correct an inappropriate template account prefix or period with the report administrator; preserve reviewed shared templates. Export or add the reviewed report to the dashboard.
Expected result¶
Financial statements have identifiable periods and totals that can be traced to accounting entries.
If something goes wrong¶
For zero or divergent totals, check account prefixes, target entries, opening balances, dates, currency and analytic filters. The OCA tax report is an accounting analysis; use the Brazilian assessment and SPED procedures for their respective processes. MIS templates need company review before official use.
