Execute work orders and review operator costs¶
Follow an operation from material availability through recorded work, completion and cost review.
Before you start¶
The manufacturing order needs an appropriate bill, operations and work centers. Review working hours, work-center rates and authorized employees when employee selection is enabled.
Step by step¶
1. Prepare and schedule¶
Open the manufacturing order, review quantity, components, reservations and operations, then confirm and plan it. Check shortages and work-center capacity before starting. Use the work-center overview or work-order list to open the intended operation.
2. Record work as it happens¶
Start the operation when work begins. Where employee selection is enabled, use Log In to identify the allowed operators. Pause during interruptions and record the reason where requested. Follow the instructions available on the operation and record the actual quantities and lots.
3. Finish and handle partial production¶
Finish each operation and review actual consumption and produced quantity before completing the manufacturing order. For partial production, review the backorder choice; record scrap separately with its actual location and quantity. Check that no operator timer remains open accidentally.
4. Review time and costs¶
Compare planned and actual durations, work-center costs and employee costs in the order analysis and linked analytic entries. Review the employee hourly cost configuration when labor amounts differ. Reconcile finished-product valuation with the accounting team.
Expected result¶
Completed work has actual quantities, operator time and traceable production costs.
If something goes wrong¶
The demo has Quality Base as a dependency, but not the standalone Quality Control application. Do not expect its full inspection menus. For blocked operations, inspect dependencies, material availability, employee permissions and work-center status before altering quantities.
