Create an OCA spreadsheet with live business data

Combine calculations and Odoo analysis in the installed Community-compatible spreadsheet editor.

Before you start

Have access to the spreadsheet and to its source records. Decide whether each table should be a fixed extract or a dynamic analysis.

Step by step

1. Create and edit

Open Spreadsheet, choose Create, enter a meaningful name and choose Edit. Add headings and use the function picker for formulas such as SUM or AVERAGE. Label input cells, calculated cells, currency and period.

2. Insert a pivot analysis

Open the required Odoo pivot, select measures and groupings, then use Insert. Choose dynamic rows or columns and their number where offered. Review the resulting data source and filters in the spreadsheet. Multiple grouping levels apply the chosen row/column limit at each level.

3. Check accounting functions and publish

When using the installed accounting functions, select the intended account codes and date range for ODOO.BALANCE, ODOO.DEBIT or ODOO.CREDIT through the function help. Compare one result with the ledger. Save and review dashboard access and filters before sharing the analysis.

Expected result

A saved spreadsheet whose formulas and data filters can be reviewed and reused.

If something goes wrong

If totals differ after a filter change, inspect the data-source filters and dynamic table limits. A copied numeric value does not retain a live source. The Enterprise Documents spreadsheet flow has its own reference section when Enterprise is enabled.
