Order Display
Customer Order Display
Your customers track order status in real time on the TV. "In Prep" and "Ready" with large numbers, sound alerts, and fluid animations.
Features
Everything a professional order display needs
TV Layout 1920x1080
Design optimized for TVs and monitors. Two columns: 'In Prep' (orange) and 'Ready' (green). Large numbers, readable from a distance.
Receives from Any POS
Works with any cash register system via thermal printer (ESC/POS). Also accepts orders via REST API. Zero special integration.
Sound Alert
Plays a sound when the order is ready, drawing the customer's attention. Configurable in the display options.
Smart Receipt Mapping
On the first order, the display learns where the number, name, and items are in the receipt layout. Works with any POS format.
Smooth Animations
New orders fade in. When ready, they pulse 3x with a sound. When picked up, they fade out smoothly. Respects accessibility preferences.
Auto-Removal
Picked-up orders disappear automatically after a configurable interval. The display always shows only what's relevant.
Built-in REST API
Full API on port 8080: create, update, list, and remove orders. Health check endpoint with IP, port, and uptime.
Native Android TV
Remote control and D-pad support. LEANBACK category to appear on the Android TV home screen. Touchscreen optional.
PIN Login

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Order Display work with any cash register system? ▼
Yes. It receives orders via the ESC/POS protocol (thermal printer, port 9100) or REST API (port 8080). Any system that prints to a kitchen printer works — just point the print job to the TV's IP.
Do I need a special Smart TV? ▼
No. It works on any Android TV, Android TV box, tablet connected to a monitor via HDMI, or a computer with a screen. The web version (coming soon) will work on any smart TV with a browser.
Does the display work alongside the kitchen KDS? ▼
Yes. It's the same application. The KDS runs on the kitchen tablet and the Order Display runs on the dining area TV. Both receive the same orders automatically from the same printer.
How does the customer know the order is ready? ▼
The order number moves from the "In Prep" column (orange) to "Ready" (green) with an animation and a sound alert. The number appears in 96px font — visible from anywhere in the dining area.
Does it work with iFood and Rappi? ▼
Yes, indirectly. When an iFood/Rappi order is accepted on the aggregator's tablet, it usually prints a receipt to the thermal printer. The Order Display captures that print job and shows the order on the screen. Direct API integration is on the roadmap.
