Connect physical equipment to your ERP without expensive middleware

Connect scales, printers and readers directly to Odoo

The Odoo IoT Box is a plug-and-play device that connects fiscal printers, scales, barcode readers, payment terminals and sensors directly to Odoo. Eliminate manual data entry, weighing errors and unnecessary reprints, all synchronized in real time with POS, Inventory and Manufacturing.

Productivity Official Odoo module

Odoo IoT

Why Odoo IoT?

Real results our clients achieve.

Automatic integrated weighing

Scales connected to the IoT Box send the weight directly to the order or invoice in Odoo. Zero manual entry, zero weighing errors in retail and distribution operations.

Fiscal printing with no driver

Daruma and Bematech fiscal printers are automatically recognized by the IoT Box. Issue receipts directly from Odoo POS with no need to install drivers on each register.

Real-time barcode reading

USB and Bluetooth readers identify products instantly at POS, goods receiving and inventory. Reduce stock count time by up to 70 percent.

Shop floor monitoring

Temperature, pressure and presence sensors connected to the IoT Box feed manufacturing orders with real-time data, enabling lot traceability and quality control.

Features

What's included in this module.

Plug-and-play IoT Box

A pre-configured Raspberry Pi device that connects to the local network and automatically detects equipment. Configuration via web interface, with no advanced technical knowledge required.

Support for Brazilian fiscal printers

Native integration with Daruma (DR700, DR800) and Bematech (MP-4200 TH, MP-100S) models. Printing of the NFC-e DANFE directly from Odoo POS, the document that replaced CF-e SAT (SP) and MF-e (CE) as of 01/01/2026.

Scale integration

Support for Toledo, Filizola and Urano scales via serial and USB protocol. The captured weight automatically fills the quantity field on the order or the invoice line.

Barcode readers

Compatible with HID USB and Bluetooth readers from any manufacturer. Supports EAN-13, Code 128, QR Code and Data Matrix, essential for GS1 and pharmaceutical traceability.

RFID readers

Integration with RFID readers for access control, automated inventory and asset traceability in warehouses and distribution centers.

Payment terminals

Integration with pinpads and payment terminals via the ISO 8583 protocol. Card transaction approval automatically reflects in the POS with no need to type the amount.

Customer displays

Show the purchase total, items and promotions on pole displays or secondary monitors connected to the IoT Box, improving the customer experience at checkout.

Cameras and document scanners

Connect webcams to capture product photos, incoming goods documents or visual quality control integrated with manufacturing orders.

Industrial sensors

Support for temperature, humidity and level sensors via Modbus and OPC-UA protocol. Data feeds real-time monitoring dashboards in Odoo.

Remote diagnostics and updates

The IoT Box updates firmware automatically and reports the status of each connected device. KMEE can perform remote diagnostics with no on-site technical visit.

Native integrations

Odoo IoT connects natively with other Odoo modules, no external integration.

Why implement with KMEE

KMEE has technical expertise integrating Brazilian fiscal equipment with the Odoo IoT Box, including thermal printers for the NFC-e DANFE, configuration of scales with the Toledo protocol and integration of pinpads. Our team surveys the customer's existing hardware, configures the IoT Box and validates communication with the equipment before go-live, avoiding surprises in operations.

About KMEE

Who it's for

Scenarios where this module delivers the most value.

Supermarket with POS weighing

Scales at the produce islands send the weight directly to the Odoo POS. The cashier does not enter any value, the system calculates the price automatically and issues the NFC-e.

Food industry with traceability

Temperature sensors in cold rooms feed manufacturing orders with environmental data. The lot is tracked from the input to the finished product, meeting ANVISA requirements.

Distribution center with RFID inventory

RFID readers at the receiving and shipping docks automatically record pallet movement. Odoo's stock is updated within seconds, with no manual count.

Pharmacy with barcode reader

Medicine receiving is done by reading the ANVISA barcode. Odoo identifies the product, expiration date and lot automatically, populating the incoming invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Odoo IoT still need SAT or MFE devices in Brazil?

No. Sao Paulo's CF-e SAT (Authenticating and Transmitting System) and Ceara's MF-e (Electronic Fiscal Module) were discontinued on 01/01/2026, and in both states consumer sales are now documented with NFC-e. NFC-e is issued directly by Odoo's fiscal module, with no dedicated fiscal device. The IoT Box remains useful for connecting Daruma and Bematech thermal printers, scales and pinpads.

Can I use the IoT Box with scales I already have in my company?

It depends on the model and the communication protocol. Odoo IoT supports scales with a serial interface (RS-232), USB HID and some Ethernet models. Brands such as Toledo, Filizola, Urano and Ramuza have good compatibility. KMEE surveys the existing hardware before implementation to confirm compatibility or recommend adapters.

Does the IoT Box need internet to work?

The IoT Box needs a connection to the Odoo server (which can be local or in the cloud). In on-premise installations with Odoo on a local server, the IoT Box works entirely on the internal network with no need for internet. For Odoo.sh or SaaS, a stable internet connection is needed. We recommend a dedicated link or connection redundancy in critical POS environments.

How many devices can I connect to a single IoT Box?

One IoT Box supports multiple simultaneous devices: up to 6 USB ports for printers, readers and scales, plus serial connections via adapter and network devices. For larger operations (multiple registers, production lines), one IoT Box per workstation is recommended. KMEE sizes the number of boxes according to each customer's hardware mapping.

Does the IoT Box work if the Odoo server goes down?

The IoT Box has no native offline operation capability, it depends on the connection to the Odoo server. For POS, Odoo has a native offline mode that stores transactions locally and syncs when the connection is restored. KMEE recommends configuring high availability on the server or a hybrid local/cloud mode for critical retail operations.
